It's almost two years since we last welcomed the Remedy, an etherial, atmospheric, acoustic duo consisting of singer-songwriter Hannah Rose Spurgeon and creative bass player Elliott Dryden. They play a mix of well known covers in their own beautiful style alongside their own self-penned numbers.
Over the past 4 years they have supported James Blunt at Houghton Tower in front of 5000 people, Simon Townshend of The Who, Admiral Fallow, Emma Stevens, Ian Siegal, Lindisfarne and Cherry Ghost. The Remedy have also headlined the Shepards Wharf Marina at Cowes Week, won The Reidys Home Of Music Talent Competition, performed live on Radio Lancashire, gained 1000 likes on Facebook, played at the critically acclaimed Cloudspotting

Tom McConville, was born and brought up ion Tyneside in the North East of England. He’s one of the leading fiddle players of our time. A virtuoso musician and fantastic singer, his rich and warm voice makes his interpretation of traditional and contemporary songs greatly admired by singers throughout the world.
In great demand as a performer, session musician and teacher; playing the fiddle is his lifelong passion and he has achieved every player’s dream of creating his own unique, instantly recognizable sound.
His live performances combine a rollercoaster of musical delights from fast, rhythmic dance tunes , through beautiful slow airs and of course, great singing. All presented with his inimitable sense of humour and style.

They could be any group of pensioners enjoying an afternoon out. But they are not. Despite the laughs and the giggles they are practising to entertain others.
The 50 Something Theatre Company has been wowing audiences for more than a decade with their fast-moving show of songs, poems and sketches – and every member, as the name implies, is over 50.
All, in fact, are retired and what holds them together is the camaraderie of performing.
The concerts last for about an hour and a half and include short sketches, poems, solos and group singing. Expect a seductive performance of 'All that Jazz', a slinky costume giving a fine performance crooning through 'Hernando’s Hideaway' and more and more and more.

Making a welcome second appearance are Union Jill, the York-based duo of Sharon Turner and Helen Winfield, are singers, instrumentalists and songwriters showcasing a variety of strong songs in an upbeat style. Snappy and upbeat, their vocals are as tight as a drum and they have a blend of voices good enough to be siblings. They weave spellbinding effects with their rich harmonies. Playing their own material, they’ve established an appealing stage presence and gathered an ever-growing fan base across the UK. Taking their inspiration from a wide range of styles, Union Jill bring their own energy and passion to the acoustic music scene. They mix traditional folk instrumentation (guitars, mandola, concertina) with an edgy contemporary feel and powerful vocal delivery. Sharon and Helen’s ability to tell a story through lyrics draws in audiences of all types. Their material embraces historical themes and contemporary issues; personal experiences and protest songs. They have an on-stage banter that you only get from two women sharing a stage.

Also making a welcome second appearance, after their sell-out performance last June are Western Valley Hotclub, all ex members of the Swing Commanders led by Gaynor Sutcliffe. playing Gypsy jazz and Bluegrass music..
Western Swing, a foot tapping combination of Country and Jazz fused together. Whether one is into this style of music is irrelevant as you can't help but go away on a high following a Western Valley Hotclub gig. With harmonies and instrument changes along with polished and musical virtuosity the band also use their vibrant and entertaining personalities to create a memorable occasion.
